The vegetable garden.
Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 8:34PM A while back I promised to show you our veggie garden and I finally got around to take some pictures over the weekend. This is at the rear end of our plot, which is separated from the rest of the garden by a little stream. See the huge trees? They mark the border of our land. We hope to put up a fence this autumn (fences are expensive, as it turns out).
So far, we managed to prepare five patches, four of which you see in the picture above.
Chard and brussel sprouts.
My beloved strawberry patch. I made the small fence from hazelnut twigs. The plan is to have every patch fenced in like this. I just need to find the time...
This is the pride and joy of the husband - our potatoe field! He made the borders with old field stones. Can´t wait to eat my own potatoes!
Happy Monday!

wow. das ist ein paradies. ihr müsst ganz schön fleissig gewesen sein!
your home is so beautiful and such an inspiration! i love following along here.
That's a lot of work that you've put in, but what a lovely reward you will get! Nothing like home grown fruits and veggies. Really very creditable.
wow! your potato field looks stunning! :-)
Hi! Can you explain how you made the fence around each plot? It's soo beautiful. Also--for your pea trellis, are those simply branches, or have you added twine or something else? Thanks! Everything looks gorgeous!
Thank you lovelies!
Colleen, I just sort of weaved some flexible branches... hard to explain. Maybe I´ll make another soon and document the progress. The pea trellis are just branches and then I used some wire to tie the plants up. I don´t think it´s very professional but it does the job ;)
thank you!
I love to see plants that was noticeable when it comes to nutrients you can get. I just love to be updated on this site.
It's all coming along really nicely! I love those yellow zucchini. Yum yum!
