Kitchen floor, painted.

I finally painted the kitchen floor over the weekend. This was one of the projects I wanted to do as soon as we moved into the house but then suddenly it´s 6 month later and surprisingly, nobody did it for me. Anyway, here you go. Paint is Farrow & Ball Cornforth White - same as upstairs, but looks completely different in this room. Much lighter for some reason?
By the way I love, love, love F&B floor paint. I had a very bad experience with cheap floorpaint upstairs and then switched to the fancy stuff. No regrets so far, it´s great to work with and seems to hold up very well. (No they don´t pay me for writing this, although I do think they should. Are you listening, F&B marketing people?)
Now do you like it? I do, although it took some time getting used to. The room is much brighter now which is nice, but it´s also a bit... bland? I realized we´ll need to inject some color here when the time comes around for the big kitchen remodel. I am thinking of a pink kitchen.
Kidding.

Ich find's sehr schön, aber ich stimme zu, dass es irgendwie "zu" hell/weiss wirkt. Es fehlt irgendwie Kontrast. Vielleicht ein Grau für die Fußleisten?
Und die weißen Türen ... irgendwie kommst Du nicht drum rum, fürchte ich :D
Love how polished this room looks...very well put together, and so elegant with that mirror too! You already have some nice pops of color with the books and the fruit and bowls on the table. They stand out nicely against the white.
I love the floor, and all the light clean brightness of the room. What I notice, like Shalini above, is how the green of the plants, the warmth of the wood touches (table rim) and the book colors really pop in contrast to all the white. And the cat really pulls it all together;)
Ich kann Dir gar nicht sagen, WIE sehr ich den Boden liebe! Mein absoluter Traum. Aber jetzt wirst Du wahrscheinlich wirklich nicht anders können, als auch die Türe weiss zu streichen (geht das auch einseitig, also nur küchenseitig, oder sieht das eher beknackt aus?).
